About the Owner — Nicholas Thielen
Hi, I’m Nicholas Thielen, owner and operator of PrairieLine Outdoors. I’m 33 and I moved to the Sioux Falls, South Dakota area to build a fresh start for my family after going through a divorce. I’m a proud dad of three kids (16, 6, and 3), and being a father has shaped how I run my business—reliable, respectful, consistent, and detail-driven.
Before coming to South Dakota, I ran a successful outdoor services business in Iowa, where I learned what homeowners and property managers value most: clear communication, dependable scheduling, and work that looks great and holds up over time. I built PrairieLine Outdoors with those same standards—so you’re never left guessing, chasing updates, or wondering if the job was done right.
My biggest passion is irrigation and hardscape, because that’s where precision really matters. With irrigation, it’s not just about sprinklers turning on—it’s about coverage, efficiency, proper zoning, and repairs that last, so your lawn stays healthy without wasting water. With hardscapes, it’s not just about a clean look today—it’s about base preparation, drainage, leveling, and long-term durability, so the finished project stays solid and sharp for years. I pay close attention to the details: straight lines, clean edges, tidy work areas, and a finished result you’re proud to show off.
PrairieLine Outdoors provides year-round outdoor services across Sioux Falls, Brandon, Harrisburg, Tea, and surrounding communities. That includes lawn care and mowing, trimming and edging, landscape maintenance, mulch and rock installs, spring and fall cleanups, plus irrigation service and repair, sprinkler start-ups, and winterizations/blowouts. When winter arrives, we help keep homes and businesses safe and accessible with snow removal for driveways, sidewalks, and small commercial lots, focused on reliability and clean results.
